Certainly one of the most iconic football games of all time, Tecmo Bowl is loved by fans even today. Developed and released by Japanese development company Tecmo, this game can also be considered the predecessor of today’s endless list of football games that dominate the genre. Tecmo Bowl was one of the first sports titles to feature actual NFL teams. It featured only 6 teams to pick from and only one person an play at a time. However, the graphics and sound were quite impressive for the time and made the game stand out in a unique way. Most importantly, the gameplay was great fun. Players can tap various buttons on the controller to make their running backs do spin moves, jukes, stiff arms, and more.
